Fábulah de l’Ezopo: er Gandano i er Gato
Un Gandano ehtaba prezumiendo ante un Gato de zuh ahtutah artimañah pa ehcapá de zuh enemigoh. “Tengo una borza yenita de trucoh”, diho él, “que contiene zien formah d’ehcapá de mih enemigoh.”
“Yo tengo una na máh”, diho’r Gato; “pero normarmente pueo apañarmelah con eya”.
“Huhto n’eze momento eyoh zintieron loh auyíoh d’una hauría’e zagüezoh viniendo pa eyoh, e inmediatamente’r Gato ze zubió rápidamente a l’arbo i z’ehcondió entre lah ramah grandeh.
“Ehte eh mi plan”, diho’r Gato. “¿Qué vah a hazé?”
“Er Gandano penzó primero n’una forma d’ehcapá, dehpuéh otra, i mientrah z’ehtaba debatiendo entre unah i otrah, loh zagüezoh z’acercaban máh i máh, i ar finá er Gandano en zu confuzión hue arcanzao pol loh zagüezoh i matao pol loh cazaoreh.
La zeñorita Gatita, qu’abía ehtao ozzervando, diho:
“Mehón una forma que m’azegura d’ehcapá que zien con lah que no pueh contá.”
Aesop’s Fables: The Fox and the Cat
A Fox was boasting to a Cat of its clever devices for escaping its enemies. “I have a whole bag of tricks,” he said, “which contains a hundred ways of escaping my enemies.”
“I have only one”, said the Cat; “but I can generally manage with that.”
Just at that moment they heard the cry of a pack of hounds coming towards them, and the Cat immediately scampered up a tree and hid herself in the boughs.
“This is my plan”, said the Cat. “What are you going to do?”
The Fox thought first of one way, then of another, and while he was debating, the hounds came nearer and nearer, and at last the Fox in his confusion was caught up by the hounds and soon killed by the huntsmen.
Miss Puss, who had been looking on, said:
“Better one safe way than a hundred on which you cannot reckon.”
